Cricketer Sandeep leaving for China today to play in Asian games

KATHMANDU: Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is set to depart for China today to represent Nepal in the upcoming Asian Games.

Just three days ago, Lamichhane faced the hurdle of a court case, which prevented him from joining the national team on their initial journey.

However, determined to participate in the prestigious tournament, Sandeep is now embarking on his journey to China.

Previously, Sandeep had conveyed to officials from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) that he wouldn’t be able to take part in the Asia Cup, citing concerns about his mental state.

Nevertheless, a significant turn of events occurred after a meeting with the newly elected Secretary of CAN, Paras Khadka, took place late last night, solidifying Sandeep’s commitment to represent Nepal in the Asian Games.
