KATHAMANDU: Immediately after the formal release of National Census 2021, the issue of the indifference towards the population living in Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura area has got entry in the parliament.

Speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representatives on Sunday, lawmaker Sher Bahadur Kunwar demanded the reason behind not including the populace of the Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura in the census.

He opined that the lack of a census of the much-discussed area does not send a good message about the government and its mechanism.

“I heard that there is no census of Kalapani and other areas this time. While the census was conducted in the year 2018 itself, why is the population missing this time?” he asked, adding, “This does not give good message to the public.”

Basnet sought Speaker’s facilitation to get the issue addressed.
