Koshi CM Karki expands cabinet



BIRATNAGAR: Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Karki has expanded the provincial government by appointing four new ministers and restructuring their responsibilities.

This move has increased the total number of members in the Koshi Province Cabinet to nine, including the Chief Minister, five ministers, and three state ministers.

The new appointments are as follows: Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari as the Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation; Lila Ballav Adhikari as the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law; Ram Prasad Mahato as the State Minister of Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperatives; and Niran Rai as the State Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning.

Til Kumar Menyangbo, the former Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, has assumed the role of State Minister of Health.

Additionally, previously appointed ministers Panch Karna Rai, Ekraj Karki, and Srijana Rai have been assigned the positions of State Minister of Tourism, Forest, and Environment; State Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development; and State Minister of Social Development, respectively. They have all been sworn in at the Office of the Province Chief.
