Pokhara festival records transactions worth Rs 100 million



POKHARA: The 13th Pokhara Festival witnessed transactions worth Rs 100 million.

Some 250 thousand people observed the festival organized on January 11-24. According to the Pokhara-based United Club, the event organizer, the festival recorded transactions worth Rs 100 million.

The festival aimed to identify new touristic destinations in Gandaki, build a zoo, develop the Seti River into a hub for adventure tourism, and promote the education, health and sports sector in the province, according to the organizer.

During the festival period, free bus service was available from the festival venue to Panchbhaiya of Lekhnath to observe the under-construction zoo. Over 800 people utilised the free bus service.
