School-level cricket tournament to take place in Kailali



DHANGADHI: The school-level U-19 T20 cricket tournament is set to take place at Fapla cricket ground in Dhangadhi, Kailali from February 4 onward.

At least 10 schools are participating in the tournament of seventh edition of the Little Flower Premier League.

The participating schools have been divided into two groups. Each team wll play four matches in the league phase.

As informed, Lotus Eye English Secondary School Attariya and Satyawati Academy Attariya are scheduled to play the inaugural match.

Chairperson of Little Flower Sports and Events, Ramchandra Shahi informed the final event will be held on February 18.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 251,111 with trophy, medal and certificate while the runner-up will also bag Rs 125,525.

The best player of the tournament will receive Rs 20,000 while the best bowler and batsman will get Rs 10,000 each.

Emerging player will get Rs 5,000 and ‘player of the match’ of each sports event will receive Rs 2,000, the host shared.
