KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing against India in the third match of the NSC-CAVA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup tournament today.
Today’s game will decide the winner and runner-up of the group.
Nepal has reached the semi-finals of the tournament.
In the match held on Tuesday at the National Sports Council Covered Hall, Nepal defeated Bangladesh in straight sets by 3-0 to register its second consecutive win and secure a place in the semi-finals.
Nepal defeated Bangladesh in the first set by 25-10 and won the second set by 25-8 and the third set by 25-9.
With the win, Nepal has added 6 points in Group A. Meanwhile, India has also entered the semi-finals from this group with equal number of 6 points.
Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan have been eliminated from the group stage. It may be noted that Nepal defeated Kyrgyzstan in the first match.
A total of eight countries are participating in the tournament organized by the Central Asian Volleyball Association with the support of NSC and the Nepal Volleyball Association.
