Bus accident claims eight lives as it plunges into Trishuli river



DHADING: At least eight passengers died when a bus veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River in Dhading district today.

The bus was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara when it lost control and careened into the Trishuli River beneath the Prithvi Highway, near Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 of Dhading.

Authorities have stated that the accident occurred this morning.

The bus with registration number plate Province 3-01-005 Kha 9952 veered off the road and fell into the river.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Santulal Prasad Jaiswar at the District Police Office Dhading said that more than 15 injured passengers have been rescued.

Security personnel were swiftly dispatched to the accident site to conduct rescue operations and provide necessary assistance to those affected.
