AI training for teachers in Bhanu Municipality

TANAHUN: A training session on artificial intelligence (AI) has been conducted for teachers from various schools in Bhanu Municipality.

A total of 90 teachers participated in the program, which aimed to enhance their professional skills and improve the quality of education in local schools. According to Dhurba Raj Paudel, Education Officer of Bhanu Municipality, the training was organized in three groups of 30 participants.

“Integrating AI into education is both timely and essential,” Paudel said. “It equips teachers to better prepare students for future challenges while promoting independent learning and skill development.”

Mayor Ananda Raj Tripathi also underscored the importance of continuous professional development for educators, cautioning that schools and students risk falling behind without regular training. “Education must evolve alongside technology, and teachers should lead this transformation,” he said. “Effective use of technologies like AI can make school education more practical, relevant, and competitive.”

The training was facilitated by Assistant Professor Bishwa Raj Joshi of Bhaktapur Sanothimi Campus. He noted that today’s students are deeply immersed in a digital environment, are increasingly tech-savvy, and expect innovative learning approaches, making traditional teaching methods less effective.
