KATHMANDU: The ‘Shramdan’ (voluntary labor) campaign initiated by Harka Sampang in Dharan has now reached Kathmandu.

Leaders and activists of the Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Sampang, are conducting a Dhobikhola cleaning campaign under Kathmandu Constituency No. 4. The campaign has also drawn active participation from local residents.

Party leader and candidate for Kathmandu Constituency-4, Dr. Barun Amatya, along with local community members, has been actively involved in the initiative.

According to Amatya, the campaign is being carried out in line with the party’s emphasis on labor culture and community service under the guidance of its leadership. The group involved in the initiative has been named ‘Shram Sena’.

He said the cleaning drive, initiated by residents of Kathmandu Constituency No. 4, is being conducted regularly every Saturday. Amatya emphasized that the campaign is not politically motivated but is aimed solely at serving society, adding that it will continue on a regular basis.

He also informed that efforts are underway to involve party president Hark Sampang in the cleaning campaign in the coming days. Harka Sampang has recently resigned from the post of Mayor of Dharan and is contesting the upcoming elections under the banner of the Shram Sanskriti Party.
