25-year-old arrested for duping with fake job offers in Poland



KATHMANDU: Pradeep Budhathoki from Bhaktapur was apprehended by the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Department following complaints lodged at the Department of Foreign Employment.

Budhathoki is accused of swindling Kalpana Bishwokarma by promising work opportunities in Poland for a payment of NPR 750,000.

The accused claimed a monthly income of NPR 120,000, totaling NPR 1.8 million annually upon arrival in Poland. However, after collecting the money, Budhathoki disappeared, prompting charges of fraud within the Kathmandu District Court’s jurisdiction.
