BHARATPUR: The Road Division has informed that it would take five to six hours to resume two-way traffic along the Narayangadh-Muglin roadway blocked by a landslip deposit last night.

The landslip occurred at Namsi at 8:00 pm Monday and obstructed the road, said Information Officer at Road Division, engineer Chandeshwor Sah, adding that four equipment were used to remove the debris.

Although the machines were mobilized to clear the obstruction from 10:00 pm, it will take six more hours for the complete removal of the obstruction.

Only 30 percent of debris has been removed so far, according to the police chief at Area Police Office Muglin, Inspector Bishal Tamang.

The vehicles including passenger buses have been stranded at different places along the road following the landslide triggered by rainfall.

The vehicles coming from Kathmandu are stopped at Muglin, Kurintar, Phisling and Dhading, while those from the east-west highway at Bharatpur and Gaindakot, Nawalpur.
