Lumbini province to host ‘Peace Marathon’ on April 6



LUMBINI: The Lumbini Province Government has scheduled the first ‘ Peace Marathon’ in Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, on coming April 6.

The province government will be organizing the event in collaboration with the Nepal Olympic Committee on April 6 coinciding with the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP).

According to the Council, Lumbini Province, a meeting of it concluded in Butwal decided to organize the event along with other various sports competitions for the motivation of athletes.

The meeting, realizing the prompt need to promote sports in the Province, decided to run programs targeting the sports sector here.
