PM Dahal vows to curb foreign employment frauds

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that foreign-employment frauds and a delay under any pretexts would not be acceptable whatsoever.

Inaugurating the social security scheme coverage of Nepalis at foreign jobs and self-employment in foreign lands amid a function in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said, “Troubling migrant workers is now gone. Now, all will get an honor. Their self-esteem will be increased. Your (Nepali migrant workers) contribution will be taken into account.”

Urging the line ministry of seeking new opportunities and destinations for job opportunities for Nepali people, he said the remaining labor agreement between Nepal and labor receiving countries would made by implementing the past agreements effectively.

Issues like the welfare of Nepali people in foreign countries, taking initiatives to increase their facilities, and the quality benefits from this are the government’s priority, he said.
