Festivals help maintain goodwill, mutual harmony: Karnali Province Chief



KARNALI: Chief of Karnali Province Tilak Pariyar has extended a message of best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of the ‘Sonam Lhosar’, the great festival of the Tamang community.

In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of the Lhosar festival, Pariyar said the festival has helped maintain brotherhood, goodwill and mutual harmony among Nepalis.

The Sonam Lhosar festival is being observed by organizing a variety of programs today.

The government has announced a public holiday today as in the past. The Tamang community in the country observes this festival with gaiety as the New Year and Nwagi pooja.

In his message, Pariyar has stated that it is our responsibility to protect and promote such festivals and cultures practised in the country.

He wished for national unity, reconciliation and tolerance with the dissemination of message of peace among all Nepalis.
