Lalita Niwas land grab case: CIB records statements of former PMs Madhav Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has documented statements from former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal concerning the Lalita Niwas land grab case.

SSP Dinesh Acharya of the CIB has verified that the CIB recorded statements from former Prime Minister Nepal, who also holds the position of Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party, during the evening hours of the preceding day.

In a parallel development, the CIB has also acquired a statement from another former Prime Minister, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai.

Bhattarai’s press advisor, Bishwadeep Pandey, confirmed that the CIB team visited Bhattarai’s residence in Tokha to record his official statement.
