HoR notified of vacation of seat in Bara-2



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has been apprised of the vacation of a seat with the election of Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal lawmaker Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav as the Vice President of Nepal.

On the commencement of a session of the lower house today, Speaker Devraj Ghimire apprised the House that the seat of Yadav has turned vacant in accordance with the Article 67(3) and the Article 89 (a) of the Constitution.

Yadav had been elected to the member of HoR from Bara electoral constituency-2 during the November 20 (2022) election and he tendered resignation in writing before the Speaker following his election on the post of the Vice President on March 17.
