NC fields Mukta Yadav as Deputy Speaker of HoR



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has fielded Mukta Kumari Yadav for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).

NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said that Yadav was going to be the party’s candidate for the Deputy Speaker in the election to be held on Saturday.

A meeting of the party leaders held at NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence on Friday had agreed on Yadav’s name for the post.

Yadav is a lawmaker of the party under the Proportional Representation category.
