One killed with Khukuri attack in Dharan



DHARAN: A person was killed in a Khukuri attack incident that happened in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-5 last night, police confirmed.

Another person is critically hurt in the attack.

Kumar Budhathoki, 35, was murdered while 25-year-old Manju Khadka Rai is critically injured, according to the District Police Office, Sunsari.

Police said that local Harka Bahadur Rai, 39, attacked Kumar with Khukuri in the former’s kitchen.

Police have held Harka Bahadur for the crime. Likewise, Harka Bahadur also attacked with the Khukuri to Manju by entering into her house after killing Kumar.

The local residents had taken under control Harka Bahadur after he brutally attacked Manju.

Seriously injured Manju is receiving treatment at the Bijaypur Hospital in Dharan, while Budhathoki’s body is taken to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKHS).
