ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Cup: Nepal sets 158 runs target against UAE



KATHMANDU: After Kushal Bhurtel took 6 wickets in the match against UAE ‘A’, Nepal got a modest target of 158 runs in the match undergoing in Sri Lanka.

Under the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Cup, UAE ‘A’ scored 157 runs in 44 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat. Lovepreet Singh scored a half-century for UAE ‘A’. He hit 6 fours and a six off 82 balls.

Similarly, Ethan D’Souza scored 18 runs, Ashwant Valthapa scored 16 runs, Aryansh Sharma scored 14 runs and Jas Ginani scored 12 runs. Other players could not even score double figures.

For Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel took 6 wickets, Mausam Dhakal took two wickets, Kushal Malla and Pawan Sarraf took one wicket each. Nepal will bat in a while.

Nepal and UAE have been eliminated from the Emerging Teams Cup. India ‘A’ and Pakistan ‘A’ have reached the semi-finals from Group ‘B’ where Nepal is present.

Similarly, Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’ have reached the semi-finals from Group ‘A’. Afghanistan ‘A’ and Oman ‘A’ have been eliminated from the tournament.
