Bhutanese refugee leader Teknath Rijal arrested



KATHMANDU: Bhutanese refugee leader and rights activist Teknath Rijal has been arrested in the fake Bhutanese refugee case.

He was arrested at 5 pm on Thursday.

Based on the statements given by Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari and others, the police had increased surveillance on him.

The police arrested him after finding facts that he also had financial connections with the group.

Rijal was the one who initially took the initiative with the Nepali leaders for the management of about 6,500 refugees who were left behind in the third country resettlement.
