Nepal sees 171 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 171 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 105 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 66 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,292 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 980 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,312 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 397 active cases in the country as 85 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 12,025 to date.
