ACC Premier Cup Cricket tournament begins today

KATHMANDU: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier Cup Cricket tournament is starting from today.

The tournament will be held at TU Cricket Ground and Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.

Ten teams, including Nepal will compete in the ACC Premier Cup.

The teams are divided into two groups., and team Nepal is in Group A, which includes Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Qatar, and Oman along with Nepal.

Group B comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Hong Kong, UAE, and Singapore.

Nepal will play against Malaysia at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Tuesday.

The top 2 teams of Group A and Group B will reach the semi-finals. The team that wins the final will secure a place in the Asia Cup.

The Nepali team comprises the following players:

Rohit Paudel (Captain), Kushal Bhurtel, Ashif Sheikh, Gyanendra Mall, Kushal Mall, Arif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Gulsan Jha, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Bhim Sarki, Pratish JC and Lalit Rajvanshi.
Similarly, Arjun Saud, Sandeep Zora, Surya Tamang, and Kishore Mahato are alternative players.
