Time to operate Muglin-Narayangadh road partially extended

MUGLIN: The duration for earth-cutting under Narayangadh-Muglin road widening project has been extended by a month.

The earth-cutting for the road widening is being carried out by halting the vehicular traffic from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

This schedule has been in force since December 20 for 30 days. Now, it has been decided to close the traffic from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm beginning from tomorrow to continue with the earth-cutting works.

A meeting of stakeholders concerned held at the District Administration Office decided to extend the time for earth-cutting for the next 30 days by halting vehicular movement.

The traffic closing time has been slightly changed. Chief District Officer Asman Tamang said it seems very challenging to carry out the earth-cutting without disrupting the traffic.

Nagdhunga-Muglin road project west section’s information officer Krishna Acharya said upgrade works have been effective if they are carried out by suspending the traffic.
