Police post at Limi relocated to Simkot



HUMLA: With the onset of winter, Border Security Police Post established at Limi of Humla district has been relocated to Simkot, the district headquarters.

Security personnel deputed at the police post located at Limi, Namkha rural municipality-6 have been moved to Simkot following increasing cold and it would be difficult to travel to Limi during winter.

Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Humla, Police Inspector Narendra Bahadur Chand said security personnel deputed at the post faced problems to stay at the police post there due to chilling cold. The police post is located around 172 kilometers away from Simkot.

He mentioned, “Police personnel reached at Limi in the third week of May have now moved to Simkot.”

The police post was established for the security of three villages—Til, Halji and Jaang – as well as to curb criminal activities taking place in the villages via Lapcha check point.
