Unified Socialist to give vote of confidence to Chief Minister Kedar Karki in Koshi Province

BIRATNAGAR: The Unified Socialist Party has announced its decision to extend a vote of confidence to Kedar Karki, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Koshi Province.

This decision was made in the backdrop of Chief Minister Karki’s scheduled vote of confidence on Wednesday.

Bidya Chamling, the whip of the Unified Socialist Koshi State Parliamentary Party, confirmed the move, stating that it was crucial to uphold the existing political alliance.

Chief Minister Karki had previously secured the backing of 39 MPs from CPN-UML and 8 lawmakers from the Nepali Congress.

While an official decision is yet to be announced by the party, whip Chamling hinted at the positive inclination of the higher committee towards extending the vote of confidence.
