Nepal takes on India ‘A’ in ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is gearing up for an exciting encounter as they face India ‘A’ in their second match of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Sri Lanka today.

The much-anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, with kick-off at 2 pm.

Being a day-night fixture, the Nepali team held a rigorous practice session on Sunday night to prepare for the challenge ahead.

Nepal, placed in Group B, had a tough start in the tournament, facing a 4-wicket defeat against Pakistan ‘A’ due to a disappointing batting performance in their opening match.

However, the team is determined to bounce back and put up a strong fight against India ‘A,’ who had an impressive victory over UAE ‘A’ in their first game.

This match holds significant importance as it provides valuable experience and exposure to emerging talent from both nations.

With upcoming matches against India and Pakistan in the group stage of the Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in August-September, Nepal aims to showcase their skills and leave a mark in the tournament.
