Tourism can prosper nation: Minister Kirati



LALITPUR: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, has said the country should be made prosperous through the medium of tourism.

At a program organized by the Lalitpur chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists to unveil ‘Lalitpur Journalism’ magazine here today, Minister Kirati pointed out the need of purchasing aircraft to provide air service to tourists in an easy and smooth manner as the tourism sector is the backbone of the country.

“Preparation is underway to buy new aircraft. We will provide service to the citizens even at a loss”, he shared, adding discussion was underway for the approval of different new routes for flights.

Mentioning that media persons have paid more attention to publicity of misinformation, the Tourism minister urged all to be alert towards it.

He complained of making wrong publicity about his works, adding it was necessary to reform the journalism sector as different types of problems are seen in the journalism sector.

Minister Kirati expressed commitment that he would actively involve in further strengthening the tourism sector.
