Rain hampers Nepal out of ACC Emerging Teams Cup

KATHMANDU: Nepal has been eliminated from the ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

Nepal has been dropped out of the tournament after two consecutive matches were affected by rain.

After losing to Pakistan in the first match, Nepal shared the points with India in the second match due to rain.

Today’s match of the third and final group stage was also affected by rain, and the Nepali team was eliminated after playing only one match.

It was scheduled to play against Hong Kong at 7:30 this morning.

But as the match could not be played due to rain, both teams ended up sharing the points.

Along with this, India and Pakistan reached the semi-finals.
