DANG: Two persons died in a road accident in Dang district today.
The deceased have been identified as Sandesh Basnet, 26, and Gopal BK, 17, of Khaira, Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-11, said Rajan Gautam, Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Dang.
The accident took place when a truck (Lu 2 Kha 381) heading towards Tulasipur from Bhairahawa carrying fertilizer hit a motorcycle (Lu 73 Pa 1162) heading in the same direction near Khaira.
Police suspect that the accident might have taken place when the motorcycle tried to overtake the truck.
Police have arrested the truck driver and started further investigation into the case.
