KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has congratulated the newly elected President Ramchandra Paudel.

The FNJ delegation today visited the Office of the President and congratulated Paudel on his inauguration as the President, wishing him a very successful term.

On the occasion, FNJ Chair Bipul Pokhrel extended an invitation to the Head-of-the-State to the Media Conference scheduled to take place in Lumbini on coming March 31. The President has been invited to the event as a chief guest.

Similarly, the delegation of the umbrella organization of journalists apprised the President about the status of Nepali journalism, journalists and issues facing Nepali journalism.

In response, the President applauded the role of FNJ in disseminating and promoting credible and fact-based news and information.

He wished the FNJ that it would take a lead in the dissemination of fact-based information. The Head of the State wanted journalists to pen against misconducts and anomalies in the society.

Following the meeting, the FNJ Chair said they found the President aware of journalists’ issues and their condition. FNJ General Secretary Roshan Puri and other officials were the parts of the delegation.
