KATHMANDU: Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati of Jagannathpuri-based Govardhan Math is scheduled to inaugurate the Adya Shankaracharya Temple located in front of the Pashupatinath Temple on Saturday, the Shivaratri Day.
The Temple destroyed in the Gorkha earthquake was recently reconstructed at the initiative of Pashupati Area Development Trust.
Dr Ramanananda Swami of Shankaracharya Math told RSS that Shankaracharya Nishchalananda Saraswati would give sermon after the inauguration of the Temple.
Nischalananda Saraswati, who arrived here on Thursday at the invitation of the PADT on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, gave a sermon at the Shankaracharya Math after visiting Pashupati Temple this morning.
