Tanahun District Court acquits actor Paul Shah

However, will not be released from prison



KATHMANDU: District Court Tanahun acquitted actor Paul Shah, who was facing charges of sexual abuse against a minor singer.

A single bench of Justice Komal Prasad Acharya gave the verdict of acquittal on Tuesday.

However, even if the Tanahun District Court acquitted Shah, he will not be released from prison.

The Nawalpur District Court has sentenced him to two-and-a-half years of imprisonment on the charge of child sexual abuse and one million rupees compensation to the victim.

Even if Tanahun district court acquitted Shah, he will not be released immediately.

Currently, he is in jail to serve the sentence according to the decision of the District Court Nawalpur.

Shah has been in prison for about a year.
