Sankata Club beats APF by 1-0



KATHMANDU: Junior Nkengue’s decisive goal led Sankata Club to defeat APF Club of Armed Police Force by 1-0 in the Martyr’s Memorial A Division League on Sunday.

Nkengue scored a penalty in the 29th minute of the match at Chasal Stadium and gave Sankata the lead.

APF defender Pepe fouled Sankata’s Ayush Ghalan and Sankata got a penalty. The only goal scored by Nkengue in the same penalty was enough to give Sankata three points.

Despite receiving two red cards, SC managed to hold on to their 1-0 halftime lead and secure a close victory over APF, who also received one red card

With the win, Sankata collected 15 points from eight games and has risen to fifth place. APF is in sixth place with 11 points.
