NUWAKOT: Two passengers died and 20 others were injured in a bus accident in Nuwakot on Thursday afternoon.
District Police Office Nuwakot DSP Khagendra Khadka said that two people died in the accident that occurred at Chainpur in Bidur municipality in the district.
The bus (Ba 2 B 845) was heading towards Damche from Bataha when it met with an accident.
The bus driver is absconding.
The injured passengers are being treated at Nuwakot District Hospital.
According to DSP Khadka, the bus fell some 20 feet from the road.
Police have initiated a search operation for the absconding driver.
