KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Chandra Bhandari, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, was seriously injured in a cooking gas cylinder explosion.
A gas cylinder exploded last night at his residence in Buddhanagar.
Bhandari’s 86-year-old mother was also injured in the explosion, according to NC General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
Both Bhandari and his mother are undergoing treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur.
