Ex-Home Minister Khand set for release, faces Money Laundering Department 



KATHMANDU: Former Home Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bal Krishna Khand, set to be released today after meeting his bail amount of Rs 30 lakh, is slated to face the Money Laundering Department.

The Patna High Court’s recent order for Khand’s release comes in connection with the fake Bhutanese refugee case, where he is among 30 individuals accused of fraud, racketeering, organized crime, and crimes against the state.

The High Court on Thursday ordered the release of Khand from custody who was earlier arrested in connection with the refugee case.
