19 more coronavirus cases confirmed in Sudurpaschim



DHANGADHI: Nineteen coronavirus cases were confirmed in Sudurpaschim Province in the last 24 hours.

According to the COVID-19 Contact Person of the Sudurpaschim Province’s Health Directorate, Hemraj Joshi, the number was confirmed while conducting 383 antigen tests at a checkpoint, .

Earlier on Thursday, Sudurpaschim Province had recorded 36 coronavirus cases. Coronavirus infection is increasing in the province in the recent period. A total of 288 were confirmed in the Province last month.

Chief of Health Office, Baitadi, Yogesh Prasad Bhatta, shared that health desks are set up at all checkpoints of the districts bordering India. Similarly, those entering Nepal from such checkpoints are allowed to enter only after the coronavirus test.

A total of 654,471 coronavirus tests were carried out in Sudurpaschim Province so far and 62,187 cases were confirmed. Six hundred thirty-five people succumbed to coronavirus infection in the Province so far.
