Yeti Air plane crash: PM Dahal and Home Minister going to Pokhara



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane are going to Pokhara to find details about the Yeti Airlines plane crash that took place this morning.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Prime Minister Dahal and Home Minister Lamichhane are preparing to go to the accident site to get information about the incident.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Lamichhane got details about the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara after reaching the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Control Room.

Prime Minister Prachanda and Home Minister Lamichhane sat in the control room of the airport and took updates on the accident.

They also instructed concerned officials for rescue.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dahal had called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers to discuss the issue.

Home Minister Lamichhane has already directed to execute the rescue efforts immediately.

An ATR 72 flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed in Pokhara this morning. The plane was carrying two pilots, two air hostesses and 68 passengers. Now security personnel including Nepal Army, Armed Police Forces and Nepal Police are involved in the rescue efforts.
