CAN announces Nepali team to play Asia Cup (With list)



KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced on Monday the Nepali team for the Asia Cup cricket to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Nepal is playing in the Asia Cup for the first time.

CAN announced a 17-member team under the captaincy of Rohit Kumar Paudel.

According to CAN, Nepal will go to Pakistan a week earlier for the preparation of the Asia Cup. Nepal will make final preparations for the Asia Cup in Pakistan.

The Asia Cup will be held from August 30 to September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, and Nepal. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan are in Group B. Nepal will play the first match on August 30 against Pakistan in Multan. The second match will be played against India on September 4 in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
