Nepal sees 136 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 401

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 136 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID related death in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 34 were tested through the RT-PCR method and  102 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,424 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them, 197 swabs were tested through the RT-PCR method and 1,227 through the Antigen method.

There are 401 active cases in Nepal as 68 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,022 to date.
