One dies in police firing in Bara



BARA: One person has died in Simraungadh, Bara when the police opened fire. The police opened fire when there was a clash with the protestors at the Simraungadh Municipality office.

Simraungarh Municipality ward no. 1 Lakshmi Mukhia, 25-year-old son of Lakhindra Mukhia, resident of Namsangradhat, was taken to Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for treatment. Later, doctors declared him dead, police said.

According to sources, 10 policemen were also injured in the clash. The clash took place after a group obstructed the mayor of the municipality, Kishori Shah Kalwar, when he was taking the chief administrative officer to join his office.

Police said that the situation in the municipal complex is still tense.
