ICC ODI World Qualifiers warm-up match: Nepal gives UAE a target of 277 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 277 runs to UAE in the practice match before the ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers.

Nepal, who batted first in Zimbabwe’s Harare, was bowled out after scoring 276 runs in 49 overs. UAE will start batting in reply shortly.

Now Nepal will play against Oman in the last practice match on Thursday.

Earlier in the practice match in South Africa, Nepal lost against Scotland and Netherlands.

Group ‘A’ of the World Cup Qualifiers has Nepal, West Indies, Zimbabwe, USA, and Netherlands. Group ‘B’ has Ireland, Sri Lanka, UAE, Scotland, and Oman.

The tournament will be held in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9. The top three teams from both groups will advance to the ‘Super Six’.

In ‘Super Six’, there will be competition with three teams from other groups. The top two teams will then qualify for the World Cup.
