No plans to join govt immediately: RSP chair Lamichhane

CHITWAN: Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has said that his party has no plans to join the government right now.

Speaking to the media in Chitwan on Monday, Lamichhane said that RSP is evaluating the current situation as it needs serious review.

“We have no plans to join the government immediately, we are reviewing the lattest development, the party will decide on government after a thorough review,” he said.

He said that since the RSP is a party with a separate identity, it is monitoring the latest political developments.

The RSP chair mentioned that the political practice of his party is in the initial stage and said that there will be a discussion within the party about what to do next if the support given to the government is or is not to be withdrawn.

Lamichhane informed that the preparations have started for the by-election of Chitwan- 2 scheduled for 10th of Baisakh.
