Gandaki CM Adhikari garners vote of confidence

POKHARA: Gandaki province Chief Minister Khagaraj Adhikari has got the vote of confidence from the province assembly on Friday.

UML leader Adhikari got 31 votes in the 60-member province assembly.

He entertained the support of the CPN-Maoist Center and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

Senior lawmaker Mitralal Basyal, who won from UML, did not participate in the voting as he was in the role of Speaker. Likewise Independent lawmaker Rajeev Gurung (Deepak Manange) did not attend the voting.

Gandaki province assembly comprises 27 lawmakers from Nepali Congress, 22 from UML, 8  from the Maoist Center, 2 from RPP and 1 independent lawmaker Gurung.
