NRB releases today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.95, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.55. The euro is being bought at Rs 168.24 and sold at Rs 168.94, while the UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 193.90 and a selling rate of Rs 194.71. Similarly, the Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 180.64 (buying) and Rs 181.39 (selling).

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.58 and sold at Rs 96.98, the Canadian dollar at Rs 103.75 and Rs 104.18, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.94 and Rs 112.41, respectively.

Likewise, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.12 and the selling rate at Rs 9.16. One Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 20.64 (buying) and Rs 20.73 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 38.39 (buying) and Rs 38.55 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 39.38 and Rs 39.55, respectively.

According to the bank, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.60 (buying) and Rs 4.62 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 39.19 and Rs 39.35, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 35.43 and Rs 35.58, 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.81 and Rs 9.85, the Swedish krona at Rs 15.69 and Rs 15.76, and the Danish krona at Rs 22.51 and Rs 22.61.

Similarly, the Hong Kong dollar is being bought at Rs 18.46 and sold at Rs 18.54, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 470.73 and Rs 472.69, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 381.86 and Rs 383.45, and the Omani riyal at Rs 373.91 and Rs 375.46. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. The rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
