Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation resigns



KATHMANDU: The Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), Umesh Prasad Thani, has submitted his resignation from his position.

Thani forwarded his resignation letter to the Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Ramesh Rijal.

According to close sources to the Minister, Thani did not disclose any specific reasons for his resignation in the letter.

Thani was appointed as the Managing Director of the Corporation by the government on March 10, 2022, for a three-year term.

Having served for 15 months, he has resigned prior to maturing his role in the post.
