Three climbers missing in avalanche in Mount Everest



KATHMANDU: Three Sherpa climbers have gone missing on Mount Everest since Wednesday morning.

According to Yuvraj Khatiwada, Tourism Department Director, they have been missing since 9:30 am on Wednesday.

Da Chiri Sherpa, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa, and Lakpa Rita Sherpa are among the missing climbers.

According to Khatiwada, they disappeared between the base camp and Camp 1 as an avalanche occurred in the dam area there.

Now, they are being searched for by Simrik Air’s helicopter.

He shared that a rescue team has also been dispatched on foot.

The Sherpa climbers were engaged in transporting the equipment of their company’s professional climbers.
