Nepal beat UAE by a massive margin of 177 runs

Retains ODI status for additional four years



KATHMANDU: Nepal beat UAE by a massive margin of 177 runs in the ICC World Cup Cricket League 2 undergoing in TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Sunday.

In its spectacular performance, Nepal contained UAE in 71 runs on Sunday.

The historic win helped Nepal retain the ODI status for an additional four years.

Earlier, Nepal, who won the toss and elected to bat first, played 49 overs with two balls and scored 248 runs after losing all wickets.

Even though Nepal had a very bad start in today’s match, they managed to give a competitive challenge to UAE in the end. In the end, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 34 runs in 19 balls for Nepal. Gulshan Jha, who was on the field with him, also scored 37 runs off 32 balls.

Rohit Kumar Paudel scored 77 runs while Bhim Sarki scored 29 runs and Aarif Sheikh scored 43 runs in the middle order.

On the bowling side, Ayan Khan, Zuhur Khan, Rohan Mustafa, and Jawaf Farid took 2 wickets each for UAE.
