Five killed in road accident in Sindhuli



SINDHULI: Five people died in a road accident that took place this morning at Kuivirdanda in Fikal rural municipality-4 along the Mid-hill Highway.

All five reportedly died on the spot. Another 19 people were injured in the accident involving a passenger bus (Ba.2 Kha. 6596).

The injured have been taken to Khurkot for treatment.

The bus was heading towards Kathmandu from Okhaldhunga when the accident took place, according to Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Sindhuli, Raj Kumar Silwal.

Preliminary reports say that the accident took place after the bus suffered a brake failure.
