17th Parliament Service Day observed with blood donation in Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU: A blood donation program was held on the premises of the Singha Durbar-based Federal Parliament Secretariat on the occasion of the 17th Parliament Service Day.

The event was jointly organized by House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker, Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly (NA) Chairperson, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, and Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumers Welfare Committee President, Abdul Khan.

They handed a blood bag to Secretariat under-secretary Sanjay Dahal, who donated blood for the 50th time today, marking the inauguration of the blood donation organized by the Federal Parliament Service Day Main Celebration Committee.

Mangsir 28 each year in the Nepali calendar is observed as the Parliament Service Day, commemorating the day when the Parliament Service was separately recognized within the Civil Service.

Around 300 employees serve under the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
